Job Description: bluboho is seeking a skilled and passionate Jewellery Design and Production coordinator to join our dynamic team. As a Jewellery Design and Production Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting both the design and production processes, ensuring the seamless creation and delivery of our distinctive jewellery collections.
Responsibilities:
- Support Design Process: Collaborate closely with the design team to assist in the development of new jewellery designs. This includes sketching ideas, creating prototypes, finalize designs, create design files and contribute innovative concepts that align with Bluboho’s design philosophy.
- Production Coordination: Coordinate with suppliers, artisans, and manufacturers to oversee the production process from concept to completion. Ensure that production timelines are met without compromising on quality standards.
- Material Sourcing and Management: Assist in sourcing high-quality materials and gemstones while maintaining a focus on sustainability and ethical sourcing practices. Manage inventory of materials and components efficiently.
- Quality Control: Conduct thorough quality control inspections to uphold Bluboho’s standards of craftsmanship and design excellence. Address any issues promptly and ensure corrective actions are taken as necessary.
- Documentation and Administration: Maintain accurate documentation of design specifications, production processes, and inventory records. Assist in administrative tasks related to order fulfillment and logistics.
- Allocation + store support: support production team with allocations and store support where needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in jewellery production, with a strong understanding of jewellery manufacturing processes and techniques, as well as gemstones and metals.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant design tools is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for craftsmanship and quality.
- Knowledge of gemology and familiarity with precious metals and gemstones.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Commitment to ethical sourcing practices and sustainability in the jewellery industry.
